Fun Fundraiser Benefits Orlando-area Elderly

Altamonte Springs, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/16/2014 -- Visits to see Grandma and Grandpa, or Mom and Dad, or a dear aunt or uncle living in an assisted living facility or nursing home are not always easy – either due to distance, full schedules, or other issues.

We hate to admit it, but sometimes we just don't make the time to let some of the most important people in our lives, our seniors, know how much we care about them.

Luckily, The Jewish Pavilion, an Orlando-area organization dedicated to supporting the elderly has a corps of volunteers who visit local facilities and hospitals delivering smiles, companionship, friendship, and support to our seniors.

On Sunday, October 26, Jewish Pavilion will be holding its 5th Annual "A Walk in the Park" to raise awareness and funds to support the elderly in our community. The event is in honor of Bunny Rosen, a long-time Orlando resident.

"Year after year, we hear how much value we bring to our seniors. It inspires us to expand our reach. Those we see enjoy our visits, our events, and the companionship we provide. A Walk in the Park is a fun fundraiser that enables us to continue to provide the programming and support that is so important to our elderly," said Nancy Ludin, executive director of Jewish Pavilion. "We have a lot planned for this year's event, and look forward to a record turnout."

"A Walk in the Park" includes a free bagel breakfast, entertainment, a health fair, activities for children, and dozens of vendors.
