Gurgaon, Haryana -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/13/2015 -- Project Loon from Google is a global network of high-altitude balloons to connect people in rural and remote areas who have no Internet access at all. By moving with the wind, the balloons can be arranged to form large communications network.

Google patented various ways they will control altitudes of the balloons, with the patent Number - US 8,967,533 (Balloon power sources with a buoyancy trade-off).

First patented method - To decrease the altitude, gas in the envelope is pumped out into a high-pressure storage chamber. The gas is moved into the envelope to increase the altitude.

Second patented method - Balloon runs a fuel cell in reverse to generate hydrogen gas, which is moved into the envelope to increase buoyancy and altitude. The hydrogen is pumped back to produce power via the chemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen to produce water.

Third patented method - A portion of the envelope is painted black. To increase altitude, rotating the balloon is rotated such that the black portion faces the sun, black absorbs heat which warms up the gas inside the envelope..

Gurgaon, Haryana -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/01/2014 -- Disney is planning a new addition to do at their night time shows at Disneyland. They plan use drones to create flying aerial displays, fly projection screens and string puppets.

Disney has applied for three drone related patents to be used in their theme parks. The patents disclose next gen entertainment plans of Walt Disney Imagineering.

-20140236388 - Aerial display system with floating pixels

-20140231590 - Aerial display system with marionettes articulated and supported by airborne devices

The first patent describes an aerial display system, with drones choreographed to form displays of flying pixels (or "flixels"). A flexil is basically a drone with a light emitting payload. A large number of flixels are used to create characters and animate them in an aerial display.

The second patent uses drones to fly and position flexible projection screens on which light could be reflected above a crowd.

In addition, the third patent, manipulates string puppets.
