Continuing the momentum of a year of sold-out screenings (which featured an exclusive West Coast premiere of HALF OF A YELLOW SUN starring Academy Award®-nominated actor Chiwetel Ejiofor and Thandie Newton), the International Black Women's Film Festival presents new, modern cinema by and/or featuring Black women from around the world called "SEEN: MODERN CINEMA BY BLACK WOMEN."

The International Black Women's Film Festival has been "moving images forward" for over 12 years, showing over 400 films from 20 countries and five continents. Black women are defying the odds in film by becoming film directors, actors and producers. The International Black Women's Film Festival is showcasing the best films by and/or about Black women from around the world. Surprise guests, Q&A's, celebrity appearances, filmmaker appearances, a gala opening and an online film festival.

About The International Black Women's Film Festival
The International Black Women's Film Festival ("IBWFF") explores the social, aesthetic and political contexts of Black women in society through film, television and media, and how Black women are viewed through the moving image while at the same time being rendered voiceless and invisible. The IBWFF is a fiscally-sponsored, nonprofit organization.
