Tel Aviv, Center -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/18/2014 -- The TourPal travel guide app is now featured by Apple on the iTunes homepage (main featured page) in over 15 countries. TourPal has previously been featured in the App-store several times, but only in the Travel category. This is the first time TourPal is getting featured on the iTunes homepage.

TourPal is currently giving away for free all the content in their travel guide app, including: audio tours, GPS based online and offline maps and information on local businesses (restaurants, bars and shops) in the tours area. The maps and local businesses information was always offered free of charge, but the audio guides were a paid feature and were sold for $5-$10 each. This promotion will continue for the remainder of 2014, although all the content downloaded during this time frame will always be free to the users that downloaded it.

This follows TourPal's launch of its new IOS 8 compatible app version that was completely redone from the ground app and the $500k funding they got from a private investor. The new version has a completely new user interface and includes new features.
