Sonic Decanter Claims Questioned by Wine Expert

Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/25/2014 -- The Sonic Decanter has gained a great many positive articles from the international media, including The Times, Gizmodo, and Huffington Post. In fact, the Sonic Decanter's Kickstarter campaign has nearly doubled it's required funding of $80,000. Even many in the wine trade are hailing the invention as a breakthrough.

However, one of Americas top wine experts is disputing the claims made by the people behind the Sonic Decanter. In an article on the Wine School of Philadelphia's website http://www.vinology.com/sonic-decanter, Keith breaks down the claims made about the device on a point-by-point basis.

With a background in winemaking, education, and journalism, Keith is a champion of consumer education in the wine field. "I was asked to look into the claims made about the Sonic Decanter, and what I found was very interesting, to say the least," he stated. He lists six major problems with the claims made about the device, which is supposed to be able to increase the quality of the wine in less than a half an hour.

In a thousand work essay on the Wine School of Philadelphia's website, Mr. Wallace rebuts much of what is being stated about the Sonic Decanter and offers a more scientic way of judging the machine's output.

"For any journalist who wants to test Sonic Decanter, please follow my standard rule in testing wine gadgets" he writes "as in any scientific study, there must be a control subject. That control subject MUST always be a bottle of the same wine, decanted an hour before and served at 65 degrees Fahrenheit."
