The program, 1st Family Health, is offering free memberships to one of the largest prescription buying groups in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Members of 1st Family Health are granted access to discounted prescription prices. With the 1st Family Health membership card, there are no deductibles, no fees and no paperwork or forms to complete. Anyone who has to pay for prescriptions out of pocket qualifies for membership, with the program covering an entire household. There are no enrollment restrictions. Non-U.S. citizens may also use the card and app.

Memberships are pre-activated and can be used immediately. To access prescription discounts via the program, a member simply has to show his or her card or the 1st Family Health app on a mobile device to a pharmacist, who will enter the codes into their computer system. The app is available for download to both Android and Apple devices.

Cost of medications vary by medicine and pharmacy, but savings of 15 to 75 percent can be expected on brand-name and generic drugs. Drugs covered under the plan include all FDA approved brand name and generic medicines.
