In August a homeless woman with 6 kids in Philadelphia was given an opportunity to have power, home supplies, furniture and beds by Ms Ecton and the win foundation team.
When in Need Foundation Embarks on Mission of Mercy Tour

Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/25/2015 -- The When In Need Foundation has been busy at work embarking on its Mission of Mercy (M.O.M) Tour. The Mission of Mercy Tour is a global outreach program of the non-profit organization that aims to assist individuals in need around the world with basic amenities such as supplies, food, healthcare and medical items, and educational resources. The foundation works to support orphanages, schools and hostels that function to help those less fortunate from all areas of the globe by providing them with the resources they need. Donations that are made to the When In Need Foundation help the organization to achieve the efforts of their Mission of Mercy Tour.

The Mission of Mercy objective was created by the organization's founder and CEO, Ms. Chetachi Ecton, which follows her lifelong virtues of compassion and selflessness for people with limited opportunities. The tour focuses on assisting powerless, defenseless and downtrodden people by supporting them. The effort is commonly called W.I.N. with M.O.M. and the group continuously seeks to transform the way in which people vacation and travel. M.O.M. consistently encourages individuals to support and visit schools, hostels and orphanages when they travel to other countries rather than just vacation.

When In Need Foundation's Mission of Mercy tour has visited orphanages, schools and hostels located in the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Turks, Caicos Island and Nigeria. Throughout the month of June, the organization is currently touring Uruguay, Chile and Argentina. The mission's goal is to transform lives and create an impact on all six continents globally, one country at a time. Ms. Chetachi Ecton is deeply inspired by the work of Mother Theresa, who once said, "Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier."

For more information on the Mission of Mercy tour of the When In Need Foundation, please visit their website. In addition, the foundation also provides educational assistance for Africa residents in need. In the beginning of May, When In Need Foundation's Chief Executive Officer Ms. Chetachi Ecton led the team on a Mission of Mercy Tour to the Ranfurly Homes for Children in the Bahamas. The home has been a safe sanctuary for thousands of Bahamian children since 1956, when the haven was created as a result of a fire in the mid-1950s in Nassau. The organization presented the home with supplies, food and other necessities for the children to bring joy to the hearts of the young residents.

The foundation continued its Mission of Mercy Tour to The Bahamas Children's Emergency Hostel, where temporary accommodations and necessities are provided for neglected and abandoned children until a permanent arrangement can be made for their wellbeing. When In Need Foundation brought smiles to the children by donating provisions, supplies and food that was much needed to the hostel.

In addition, the When In Need Foundation visited a residential care facility in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, called the Provo Children's Home. The organization donated much needed supplies and household items to the facility as they shared fellowship and joy with the children and staff. The orphanage was originally called Nissi House but was destroyed by Hurricane Hannah and Ike and rebuilt as an institution by Tanis Wake-Forbes and other caring people. The home now has a 20-bed facility with caregiver suites and two emergency placement rooms that help any children in the country in need.
When In Need Foundation, which has been privately funded since inception, has been able to support children in need with food, diapers, household items and other amenities. When In Need Foundation is pleased to announce the success of their efforts within the past month.

The foundation visited the OrfanatoNinos de Cristo orphanage in the Dominican Republic led by CEO, Ms. Chetachi Ecton. The orphanage houses and feeds over 160 children from the Dominican Republic and Haiti who have been victims of abuse or were abandoned. Members of the foundation brought smiles to the children when they presented the facility with stacks of supplies, food and household items. In addition, the foundation will now sponsor three-year-old Angelina, which will cover her food, clothing and shelter, as well as play a supporting role in her future.

On April 3, 2015, in celebration of Easter, the Port-Harcourt team of the When In Need Foundation, led by Mr. Darlington Ohaeri, visited the Saviour's Orphanage (Land of Blessings) in Rivers State, Nigeria, to donate diapers, supplies, household items and food. The organization aimed to brighten the Easter holiday for the children by completing their Mission of Mercy initiative. About 98% of the children at the facility were picked up by the side of the road after being abandoned. The children range in age from 8 months to 15 years and were very happy to receive the assistance of the When In Need Foundation. When In Need also paid for little Michael Ambrose's successful emergency surgery, a two year old that had been diagnosed with hemorrhoids. The organization worked tirelessly with his medical team at Chrismade Hospital, Port-Harcourt for his speedy recovery.
On February 27th 2015, When in Need Foundation, in collaboration with the Clinton Foundation and the Friends of Rockaway, participated in a community event by helping to rebuild a home that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy in Rockaway's New York City.

In line with the When In Need mission of supporting individuals with autism and other disabilities, Ms. Chetachi Ecton, CEO of When In Need Foundation and Mr. George Onuorah, Media Director, attended the AANE Asperger Autism Network Fundraiser on March 18th at the Village Pourhouse NYC. Recently, When in Need Foundation visited Orfanato Ninos de Cristo in the Dominican Republic, which cares for over 160 female children who have been abandoned and are victims of abuse. Household items, food, and supplies were donated during the visit.

As When In Need Foundation's CEO explored the orphanage, a beautiful three-year-old girl's infectious smile caught her attention. The CEO learned that Angelina and her sister, Angelica, had been abandoned with no documentation. Orfanato Ninos de Cristo came to their rescue offering them a new home in 2013. An obvious bond of friendship was quickly established, as they played and laughed together and were both inseparable during the visit. When In Need will now sponsor Angelina's upkeep that will cover her food, clothing and shelter and continue to play a supporting role in her future.

When In Need's Port-Harcourt Rivers State Nigeria team continued the foundation's "Mission of Mercy" initiative by donating food items, diapers, supplies and household goods at Saviour's Orphanage (Land of Blessings) in Nigeria, which put smiles on the faces of the children this Easter season. The foundation also paid for the successful surgery of a two year old boy who had been diagnosed with hemorrhoids.
