After first emerging as a concept two years ago, the Mondeo Vignale has finally got a UK price of £29,045 confirmed and will come in both hatch and estate body styles to accommodate different driver requirements.

The Vignale edition of the Mondeo was created because Ford realised that the majority of people ordering this model were opting for at least the Titanium trim level or above, suggesting a growing demand for premium quality in combination with Ford's value and reliability.

Standard features on the Vignale include a stylish and aggressive mesh grille, 18-inch alloy wheels and a choice of three engine configurations. A 207bhp diesel unit is available, along with either a 237bhp petrol engine or a hybrid model which has 184bhp under the bonnet.

Bespoke features such as leather upholstery with hexagonal stitching, a stereo system with 12 speakers and an advanced onboard computer with a large touchscreen display built into the centre console all help to make the Mondeo Vignale an impressive offering.

Ford may not have quite the same prestige as other brands making executive vehicles, but in terms of build quality and value the Mondeo Vignale will be a compelling new option this year before undoubtedly becoming a used bargain in the near future.
