Art Collectors Can Save Thousands on Original Paul Ray Effinger Sculptures

Effinger merges digital technology with ancient artist techniques to produce award winning bronze sculptures.

Leander, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/11/2013 -- Paul Ray Effinger has just won the 'Best of Show' award for his bronze sculpture Volnus at the 2013 Texas Art Hop competition, beating 620 other artistic entries from 200 artists.

Although the sculpture sold for $15,500 at the show, Effinger will be letting the 18 inch tall statue go for $9,500 to one person who will help him to produce his next bronze sculpture, titled Artifice.

Effinger will also be giving discounts on other pieces of his work to help reach his target amount of $4,500 by November 21.

Effinger has always been drawn to figurative art and sculpture. As he grew up he found that he had a talent to produce such work. After changing his career path from mechanical engineer to animation artist, Effinger eventually retired to spend more time working on his figurative sculpting. Because of his engineering background, Effinger finds it easy to produce his sculptures using traditional artist techniques with modern digital technology. He uses an updated version of an ancient technique called lost-wax foundry.
- First he uses CAD software to make a detailed design of the object.
- He prints the object with hi-resolution 3D printers.
- He creates molds and bronze castings from the 3D prints.
- He welds and finishes the bronze castings to make the sculpture.

Because of the detail involved with the pieces, the mold has to be split into several pieces which makes the process even harder and increases the chances of errors being made with the sculpture.

Where other artists may choose to design the sculptures but then outsource the foundry process, Effinger prefers to do everything himself and states that to outsource the process would cost twice as much as the costs to perform the foundry himself. However, the foundry process is a complicated one relying on every stage being 100 percent successful. One bronze sculpture can take months to complete.

Effinger is asking art patrons to help him bring the matching figure to Volnus, Artifice, to life by donating funds to his Kickstarter campaign. As a thank you for their support, Effinger will give away a number of limited edition: prints, plaster and bronze bas reliefs, bronze Artifice patron medallions and even the bronze sculptures of Volnus and Artifice depending on how much is pledged. Effinger states that both bronze statues will be given at a considerably lower price than what they would normally be sold for stating, "It is not much above my cost to manufacture it (Artifice). However, I'd rather sculpt and have someone enjoy it than not sculpt at all."

About Paul Ray Effinger
Paul Ray Effinger has produced a total of four bronze sculptures since 2005. He uses digital software, a keen artist's eye, live models and the ancient method of lost-wax casting to painstakingly create each sculpture.

24-7 Renewable Energy Project Seeks Crowd Funding Investors for No-Wind Windmill

An ingenious product, the environmentally friendly No-wind Windmill supplies energy from wind and methane to provide 24-7 reliable power for a home, business, or corporate energy supplier.

Tolna, ND -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/09/2013 -- Creator Joseph Chiang is seeking investment on Indiegogo for his No-wind Windmill, an alternative solution for energy production that supplies reliable power from wind and/or methane. Chiang believes his windmill is the answer to the world's ongoing necessity for energy, while it will also eradicate the need for nonrenewable energy sources like fossil fuels and nuclear power. The campaign aspires to raise $300,000 by November 24, 2013 at 11:59pm PT for the development and necessary modifications of the windmill prototype.

"Although using wind and methane for energy has been around for a while, my idea surpasses what is already on the market because of the product's ability to supply renewable energy 24-7, and it eliminates the negative environmental cost associated with nonrenewables," says Joseph Chiang.

Chiang's windmill will solve a variety of problems presently. He has designed the windmill to run on methane when wind energy is low or obsolete. Therefore, renewable energy will be supplied at all times. The wind blades are also configured to improve wind collection by 400 percent. The size of the windmill will appeal to everyone, commercial energy suppliers as well as homeowners, as it can be scaled from 5 KW to 2 GW and is only 15 feet high at the hub.

In addition, implementing the No-wind Windmill could easily solve all the current problems associated with large industrial windmills or other environmental energy solutions, problems like excessive cost and space, associated government regulations, NIMBY stipulations, aesthetics, grid limits, wild and bird life inhibitors, and a lack of sun or wind.

"I wanted to design a product that would solve many of the problems associated with other eco-friendly energy solutions. And I believe my windmill does just that. As I see it, every household, business, or apartment could erect my windmill on their property, which would easily supply its energy need at little or no cost, as well as reduce the carbon footprint associated with century-old energy production and supply that negatively affects our world today," says Chiang.

Those interested in backing the project will have until Nov. 24, 2013 to contribute. All contributors will receive a perk, but it will solely depend on whether the project's monetary goal is fully reached. Anyone who donates will receive a windmill at $1000 dollars over cost. Contributions of $500 or more will receive a windmill at cost. Regardless, all money donated will be used in an effort to raise other monetary sources like grants for the project to complete its goal.

About Joseph Chiang
Currently a math and social studies teacher at a local high school in North Dakota, Chiang also worked in business for over 30 years. He decided to provide a solution to the world's energy predicament by developing an eco-friendly energy solution, a No-wind windmill that is more efficient at wind collection while running on methane when little or no wind is available.

For more information on this press release visit: http://www.releasewire.com/press-releases/release-3.htm

Media Relations Contact

Anthony Palm
L&C Design&Outlet
Email: Click to Email Anthony Palm
Web: http://lncdeslet.com

Death Row Exonerees Need $5,000 by October 21st to Tell All

3 Death Row exonerees, Ron Keine, Shujaa Graham and Delbert Tibbs seek funding for a tour that will tell the struggles of a person who has been exonerated from Death Row.

Austin, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/08/2013 -- Ron Keine, Shujaa Graham and Delbert Tibbs have a little under two weeks left to secure the $5,000 needed to fund their project 'On The Road With Death Row Exonerees'. The three exonerees launched a crowdfunding campaign, via Kickstarter, to help them obtain the money needed to fund a speaking tour that will enlighten the public about the difficulties exonerees face when they try to reintegrate with society. The $5,000 target must be reached by October 21, 2013, if the project is to go ahead.

The tour starts in Detroit with Ron Keine, who was exonerated from death row and released in 1976 after it was found that a law enforcement officer was actually responsible for the crime Keine and his co-defendants allegedly committed. After he is finished in Detroit, Keine will head to Chicago, where he will stop to pick up Delbert Tibbs and Shujaa Graham. Tibbs was released after the Florida State Supreme Court eventually overturned his conviction that was thought to be severely biased. Graham had spent most of his juvenile life in and out of prison but when he was framed for the murder of a prison guard in 1973, Graham was given the death sentence. Due to the district attorney excluding all African American jurors for Graham's trial, the California Supreme Court overturned the death sentence and eventually, in 1981, Graham was finally found innocent and released from prison.

Throughout the tour, the exonerees will meet with supporters of the anti-death penalty movement and speak at conferences about their own experiences. The trio will also meet with other exonerees and speak openly with the public about the trials and tribulations any exonerated person has to go through when they come back to society. Funds will be used for travel expenses and as emergency funds should anything untoward happen on the journey. Backers of the project can receive a range of goods from their names being included on the closing credits of the documentary itself to a signed special edition DVD of the tour and one of the exonerees' speaking at an event of the investor's choice.

Keine, Graham and Tibbs say that "the death penalty is the only injustice that cannot be put right". Their tour is a stand against wrongful convictions, the stigma that wrongfully convicted innocent people face from society and the finality of the death sentence.

About Ron Keine, Delbert Tibbs and Shujaa Graham
Ron Keine, Delbert Tibbs and Shujaa Graham were all wrongfully convicted of crimes and were given the death penalty. Now, the exonerees are working hard to abolish the death penalty, which would have ultimately resulted in them and other innocent men like them dying for no reason.
Family Board Game Alien Run Seeks Backers for Crowd Funding Project on Kickstarter

Strategically race for riches against family and friends with Alien Run board game, a family friendly game that will provide hours of fun and laughter.

Little Elm, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/07/2013 -- Brooke Klinker-Birdsong is seeking investors to help her family-fun board game, Alien Run, go to production. The game has been named one of the top five games ever played by friends and family. The campaign hopes to raise $20,000 dollars by Nov. 1, 2013 (2:37 p.m. EDT).

Players will orbit space, trying to make their way to the next galaxy by landing at the end, all while wondering if they will get side tracked or pushed forward by wormholes, the role of the dice, or by an opponent. The goal of the game is to have the most money, or Orbs, by the time a player reaches the end.

"As a family, we enjoy our weekly family time together by playing board games. Since we're such huge board game players, I thought how fun it would be to come up with our own. I designed the game after hearing my children explain the likes and dislikes of other board games, and I knew that we could come up with something really fun. Honestly, this game has it all—excitement, surprise, mystery, twists and turns," says Brooke Klinker-Birdsong, creator of Alien Run.

The key to the game's success is strategy. Players never know what awaits them ahead. When landing on a specific area of the board, each component makes a player do a specific task. Will it be a green wormhole that lets the player advance or make positive passage through an area? Or will it be a blue wormhole that pushes a player back or take negative passage? A player could land on a 'Red Roll Die' space which allows her to roll the red dice and move forward the appropriate spaces, or land on the 'Go Back' space and be required to move back the spaces shown after rolling the dice.

The twist and turns continue as players could land on a mystery space. This allows players to collect $5 Orbs while drawing a mystery card that could help or hinder a player's progress. Money is needed to buy Trump cards, which are the strategic part of the game. Playing the card can detour an opponent or personally advance the player on the board.

"I know your family will love this game. It's even perfect for daycares or schools. I've made the prototype; it has a patent, copyright, trademark, and I have found a credible company to make the game. But it's extremely expensive to produce a board game, so without the help of supporters there won't be an opportunity to play it," said Klinker-Birdsong.

In exchange for support, Klinker-Birdsong is offering a vast amount of perks, depending on the level of contribution. Investors can contribute by going to the project page and selecting among ten perks. Even one dollar is appreciated. For a $29 dollar pledge supporters will receive the Alien Run game before Christmas. Higher donations can receive more than one game, the Alien Run Historian limited edition, or an autographed edition. Five backers who wish to donate $2500 will receive a dinner with Klinker-Birdsong, an autographed edition, and specialty prints of Alien Run designs. So make a donation, there's no other game out there like it.

A moving film based on the book written by author John Simpson

Malibu, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/03/2013 -- October 2, 2013 - John Simpson, award winning screen writer and author, has announced his plans for filming a new movie based on his book The Beach House and has unveiled his crowdfunding campaign to help bring the movie to the big screen.

Simpson, author of Condor One and Home Sweet Home hopes to raise $17,000 with his crowdfunding campaign on IndieGogo.com to film and produce his latest movie, The Beach House. The campaign was unveiled September 30, 2013 and continues through November 15, 2013.

The Beach House is a heartfelt, inspirational novel that focuses on a war veteran back from Afghanistan who meets and makes friends with a man on the beach shores of Delaware Bay. The story focuses on the perils and struggles for Jeff, who is trying to adjust to civilian life after months in an unsafe environment. Jeff suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and finds readjusting to civilian life difficult. Keith, who has recently lost his mother, befriends Jeff and helps him through the battle of PTSD. The movie plans on bringing to light an all-too-often situation that occurs with troops around the world and especially in the gay community.

"People don't understand how difficult it is for our troops, men and women, to return home from war and adjust to society," states John Simpson, co-producer and screenwriter of the film. "As a former war veteran myself, I feel that this topic needs to be brought to life and I hope that it will be inspirational for other military members so that they can heal and see that they aren't alone."

The film is a low-budget production, but John Simpson promises it will be a high-quality film. He's secured the film's quality by working with award winning director, Michael Simon. Half of the funds raised through this crowdfunding campaign will go toward filming the movie, while the remainder will go towards bringing the film to the big screen. Simpson plans on entering the film into multiple film contents and festivals.

Various contribution levels are offered on IndieGogo.com ranging from $30 to $10,000. Perks are also included. Higher contribution levels receive personal calls from the producer and can even be featured in the film as a background extra.

Personalized Curated Social Mobile Project Seeks Crowd Funding via Indiegogo

Developers appeal to investors to recognize the need for a curated, peer-to-peer social search engine, which will enhance the experience of the mobile platform.

London, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/01/2013 -- Project manager, Zohe Mustafa, has initiated a crowd funding campaign for investment in his team's social search engine project, Personalized Curated Social Mobile.

Zohe and his team have a vision to create what they are calling a peer-to-peer social search engine. Its purpose is to gather and share specified information from a contact's mobile device, bookmarks, and personalized social media recommendations. The campaign aims to raise £200,000 by November 04, 2013 11.59pm PT.

Zohe believes that as more and more people connect through social media platforms, they would rather rely on the recommendations of friends and social contacts for interests and services, than search for information through traditional search engines like Google, Bing, or Yahoo.

"Research shows that nearly 43 percent of people in the UK, age18 to 24, would rather discover content and interests recommended through their social networks. We want to know what our friends enjoy, and so we trust their Tweets and Facebook statuses and likes more than we trust Google," Zohe says.

Similar to an Amazon homepage, people want more customized recommendations based on their interests and likes. This makes traditional search engines seem irrelevant if it can't provide those specified results. Having to slog through pages and pages of unrelated results feels like a waste of time to on-the-go consumers.

With increased smart phone usage, people are storing and bookmarking their favorite things anyway, so it wouldn't be out of reach to create a way to filter through those interests. The team's vision is to use the mobile phone number as the unique identifier or filter to view a contact's phone book, web bookmarks, map bookmarks, and content shares.

"Who wouldn't want a more targeted and personally relevant search engine? I believe there is a need, and it's possible to create a product that will be a game-changer in the mobile device industry," says Zohe.

Investors will have until Nov. 4 to select between three "perk" contributions—£25, £100, and £1000—on the project page on Indiegogo. All funding will be used for product development and testing for such things as an iPhone, Android, Windows, and Blackberry app, and a SmartTV app; marketing, design, and brand creation; and mobile and desktop websites. Depending on the chosen contribution, investors will receive free MobeeMark merchandise, or an invitation to closed beta testing, or the opportunity to be part of the main development team.

"Although the majority of people use Google, that isn't a reflection of its perfection; it just means that there is nothing better out there. Our ultimate goal is to create a Web 3.0 service, that which improves a person's experience of the mobile platform," says Zohe.

Edu Special Asks Advocators of Children with Special Educational Needs to Fund Journal

The Edu Special Journal will be used to raise community awareness of children with special educational needs.

Athens, Greece -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/01/2013 -- The creators of the Edu Special Journal are appealing to the public for financial backing to raise €30,000 via Indiegogo.com. Funds raised will go to achieve Edu Special's goal of using their educational journal to raise awareness and promote integration of children with special disabilities all over the world. The campaign will run until November 11, 2013.

The journal was the brainchild of a group of young scientists who came together in Athens and found a shared interest in the education and support of children with special disabilities. The purpose of the journal is to give the people in charge of children's education and well-being the tools to care for a more diverse group of children. The core team consists of 5 members but in the past year Edu Special has collaborated with 40 partners to produce the only journal of its kind in Greece.

The journal focuses on three different areas:

General education
Special education
New technologies

The aim is to engage with children with general and special educational needs through different education models, encouraging diversity within groups and understanding how to meet the needs of children who possess developmental disadvantages.

In order to reach audiences throughout Greece and across the globe, funds are needed to cover the publication costs of the journals themselves as well as marketing costs. By way of thanks to anyone who is able to help the educational journal come to fruition, Edu Special is offering a number of perks to investors. Any budding journalists or educational speakers can get their research papers published along with an exclusive interview about education in their native country for a €500 contribution. Smaller contributions can earn perks such as the first edition of the journal, a year's subscription, company logo printed on the journal and others.

Eventually, Edu Special would like to see their journal in both educational and care facilities around the world. Alexandros Katsanis, head of the campaign says "We hope to promote diversity within education through understanding and commitment to children who have all kinds of general and special educational needs."

About Edu Special
Edu Special was formed in Athens by young scientists who dreamed of making diversity and uniqueness in educational groups a common occurrence.
NEO Needs €350,000 to Market Its Human Friendly Projects

NEO runs various human friendly projects with a view to making transforming the business world a more ethical world that values human beings, nature and children.

Rome, Italy -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/30/2013 -- NEO has announced the launch of its crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo.com. The innovative company, dedicated to bringing human friendly projects to the forefront of the business world, is asking for €350,000 to help them market their various projects. The campaign began September 21, 2013 and will run until November 20, 2013.

NEO represents New Environmental Options. The human – eco friendly company was founded by Maria Suomy Monsellato and her partner, parents of a 2 year old diabetes sufferer who also has Celiac disease. Monsellato wanted to introduce a brand new business philosophy to the world that focuses on respecting humans and nature. NEO's philosophy is not in line with those of the average corporation, which is why they are asking all funding to come from people instead of banks or other institutions. NEO's visionary projects aim to find a balance between humans and nature within business that is still profitable without being morally unethical and demonstrating the utmost respect for adults, children and nature.

NEO states that all contributors to the campaign can pride themselves on being part of a new, ethical movement that aims to change the business world. The funds will go to the costs involved with promoting the one of the Human Friendly Projects that NEO is involved with, 9 of which are running right now. Investors will be able to see their money go towards projects such as 'SD' (Stop Diabetes), the project aiming to use 3 patents to help people with Diabetes, or an eco tourism project which will see people visit paradise but instead of trampling it down, NEO plans for humans to work with nature.

Monsellato states that "HFP are projects that, while generate cash flows, adopt a target and management philosophy that makes them non-bankable. The most important return these projects will produce isn't economically tangible. That's why we call on you all. We need your faith."

NEO is a unique company with one vision to revolutionize business by helping people to take back their power as humans and make a positive change in the world.
Innovative Farming Community Announces the Launch of Its Crowdfunding Campaign on IndieGogo.com

Striving to establish a sustainable, commercial-scale indoor farm with top-notch produce

Fort Payne, AL -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/30/2013 -- Innovative Farming Community, an indoor farm program striving to create sustainable living through food and employment, is excited to announce the launch of its new crowdfunding campaign on IndieGogo.com.

The crowdfunding campaign started September 19, 2013, and will continue through November 1, 2013. The goal for this campaign is set at $3,450,000. Investors can contribute as little as $5 to help Innovative Farming Community start its first installation of the project: the IFC Working Laboratory. This project will help establish the manufacturing processes needed while figuring out protocols so that IFC facilities can maximize their square footage and establish efficient growing rooms.

Innovative Farming Community strives to establish a food production method that can sustain life and keep up with the consumption rate in the country. With over 80 percent of fresh food already imported to the United States, IFC is working to establish a system that decreases the U.S.'s need for dependency on other countries by providing a stable, consistent indoor-farming system.

"Food shortages are occurring everywhere," states owner and IFC creator Chad Shugart. "Inconsistent weather and water issues are stressing agriculture everywhere and the U.S. isn't safe from this. My goal is to establish a sustainable indoor-farming system now, before critical situations arise and leave our country without food to sustain life. Food security should be our country's number one goal."

Innovative Farming Community's indoor-farming system increases the protection of crops and creates a highly-controlled, repeatable food production process that will result in high volume shipments. In addition, Innovative Farming Community is looking to transform empty, unused buildings into indoor farming spaces. Not only will this decrease real estate vacancies, but it can establish new jobs for struggling regions.

Contributions range from $5 up to $7,500. Higher contribution levels go directly toward production units, which will help increase the efficiency of the project. Contributors receive perks for funding this campaign as well. Interested contributors are urged to read Innovative Farming Community's campaign and data regarding food production and protection.

About Innovative Farming Community
Innovative Farming Community was founded by Chad Shugart as a way to fill the building vacancies in the Alabama region with a sustainable food project. Shugart's goal is to establish indoor-farming facilities that offer sustainable, efficient farming methods and help cities reclaim their vacant buildings. By starting his campaign, Shugart hopes to provide employment, as well as nutrient-rich foods to support the communities around his farms, enhancing life on Earth.
Traveling Friends Transit Announces the Launch of a New Crowdfunding Campaign on IndieGogo

Safely transporting rescue animals to new, loving homes

Palmer, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/30/2013 -- Traveling Friends Transit, an animal rescue transportation service that saves animals from abusive and threatening situations, is pleased to announce the launch of their crowdfunding campaign on IndieGogo.com.

The crowdfunding campaign went live September 19, 2013 and will continue on throughout November 18, 2013. It is the goal of Traveling Friends Transit to raise $10,000 by this end date. Contributors can offer as little as $10 for this humanitarian effort.

Traveling Friends Transit rescues animals from high-kill animal shelters and transports them safely to foster centers, rescue shelters and adoption agencies. It is the goal of this organization to transport all animals, including puppies, kittens, and even rabbits safely. Transportation is crucial for saving the lives of animals during a rescue process. With safety as their number one goal, their hope is that they will earn enough from the crowdfunding campaign to make a comfortable, stress-free environment for these rescue animals.

"Thousands of animals are abused or put down in shelters simply because they don't have the space or funds to care for them," states Traveling Friends Transit co-owner Carissa Serino. "It is our hope to save these animals from neglect and threatening situations and bring them to places that will care for them, nurture them and find them loving homes like they deserve."

Contributions from this crowdfunding campaign will go toward purchasing an extended cargo van unit. The unit will have separate crates for animals and allow both drivers to frequently check-in on animals during transport. Funds will also contribute toward necessary insuring, license, USDA certifications, food and water, leashes, and other necessary startup costs for this effort. Funders have a few contribution options ranging from $10 to $1,000. Each contribution level offers a perk including pictures of animals contributions save, acknowledgement on the website, promotional products, etc.

About Traveling Friends Transit
Traveling Friends Transit believes that every animal deserves to live and it is no human's right to deny that. Shelters don't care for the animals they receive and often put them down because they're low on space. Transportation is key during the rescue process; therefore, Traveling Friends Transit offers a safe transportation option for any humanitarian effort looking to save the lives of our furry friends.
Children's Entertainment Network (CEN) Seeks Crowd Funding via Indiegogo for Fourth Quarter 2013 Production Costs

Educational and entertaining web series gives youth and adults an inside look at news, current events, and trends in film, music, games, sports, television, and fashion.

Hollywood, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/30/2013 -- Children's Entertainment Network (CEN) has launched a crowd funding campaign via Indiegogo to raise funds for the fourth quarter of its 2013 production schedule. The campaign aims to raise $25,000 by October 23, 2013 11:59pm PT.

The web series, which is produced and directed by Mark Rowley, aims to educate and entertain children, young adult, and adult audiences alike through its unique way of presenting up-to-date news, current events and culture. Reporters, age eight to 18, interview celebrity guests at various venues such as sports events, Hollywood premiers and television shows. They give an insider's perspective on music, fashion, film, television, and the latest trends in video games and technology.

Since launching in Jan. 2013 the network continues to gain popularity. Already producing 50 segments, they are seeking investment to add a writer, production editor, and cast members to the crew, and expand its studio space.

"Although we've had several opportunities to join other networks, we want to continue to be on our own. We are steadily gaining a following and feel that as our audience numbers grow, we know we have a credible product that will be hugely successful for years to come," says David Campbell, business manager of CEN.

Investors will have until Oct. 23 to select a "perk" contribution on the project page on Indiegogo. Of course, the higher the donation, the bigger the perks. Depending on the chosen contribution, investors can receive, on the low end, free CEN merchandise or an on camera "shout out" at one of the CEN events.

Upper range perks provide entertainment experiences like spending the afternoon with the crew while shooting the L.A. FITEXPO and meeting the event celebrities with dinner afterward with the CEN's cast and crew.

High-end perks include an invitation to a meet and greet and tickets to the AMA Music Awards, or an invitation to a meet and greet and tickets to Justin Timberlake's concert at the Staple Center. The ultimate package is a one to two-night stay in Dallas, TX with an invitation to see the Dallas Cowboys with the CEN cast and crew.

Investors can guarantee that their money will be used well as this web series is already a success.

Smart Voting App for Talks Gives out Generous Thank-You Packages to Top Supporters

A Smartphone app that gathers, counts, and displays anonymously cast votes during presentations and talks is intensifying its crowd funding campaign through hard-to-resist perks and good old functionality.

Malmo, Sweden -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/27/2013 -- A communications innovator offers audiences a new fear-free voting option: Respond through your Smartphone.

Trying to raise at least $20,000 through Indiegogo crowd funding, VoteViking is a Smartphone application that tallies and displays in real time the votes anonymously cast by the audience at talks, presentations, or corporate meetings. Fifty days to the November 13 deadline, its Amsterdam-based creator, Everybody Likes Penguins, is stepping up the campaign to make sure IOS and Android users gain from this downloadable technology for free.

For a $5,000 contribution, a company may sync its event with the world premiere of VoteViking. Not only will the world premiere of the up-and-coming app generate added publicity, but the top supporter also gets a chance to visit the makers in their Amsterdam hideout. Food, lodging, and mini-tour are free of charge. So are 200 voting rounds.

Perks aside, the functional value of the VoteViking technology is the main attraction. Hugo van den Hurk, in charge of concept development and online marketing, explains that members of an audience feel uncomfortable raising their hands especially when they fear their choice to be politically incorrect or unintelligent.

"Once group psychology is at play, it's harder for presenters to get honest responses from the audience. VoteViking eliminates people's fears and the effects of peer pressure by allowing them to cast their votes conveniently and anonymously. A presenter gets accurate feedback fast, and the dialogue becomes more open and informative."

A company that places quality communication at the core of its business policy, Everybody Likes Penguins believes audience response is "too valuable to ignore."

The creators also speak highly of the easy integration features of VoteViking. PowerPoint allows presenters to show a live website in one slide through its LiveWeb add-in option. In effect, the audience sees real time results counted by the VoteViking website and shown through PowerPoint.

Presenters need only to register their event at the VoteViking website and upload their company logos, which will be displayed at VoteViking users' Smartphones. Also shown are the presenters' questions and the answer choices for the audience, made available through a paid web service.

"Our goal has always been to simplify the vote-tally-and-show process both for the speaker and the audience. And I am happy to announce that we have succeeded in making VoteViking efficient and fun to use," van den Hurk adds.

VoteViking specifically targets professionals and academics who handle corporate meetings, lectures, webinars, conference calls, presentations, and talks. The app can also be used during debates, talent shows, and pub quizzes.

VoteViking stratifies its thank-you packages. For $500, supporters will be the first in their state or country to use VoteViking. This local premiere will be publicized alongside the contributor's event. For $60, supporters will be featured at the VoteViking website. All those who donate $60 or more will get 200 free voting rounds.

Contributors of $25 can enjoy 140 free voting rounds, while those who donate $15 get 80 free voting rounds. For $10, supporters can benefit from 60 free voting rounds. A single donation can be as little as $5.

All the offerings for VoteViking supporters are outlined in detail at the Indiegogo crowd funding website.

Space Adventure Game Archangel 2: Red Colony Debuts Indiegogo Crowdfunding Campaign

The point & click space exploration title will be in full 3D and is slated for a July 2014 release date on multiple gaming platforms.

Malmö, Sweden -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/25/2013 -- The two-man team behind Archangel: Martian Orbit has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the second installment of their point & click space adventure series. With a $38,000 goal, the developers are planning to make Archangel 2: Red Colony in full 3D and more interactive than its predecessor. The crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo runs until October 27, 2013, 11: 59 pm PT.

The developers have opted for a flexible campaign, which means that they will receive all the funds raised even if they don't meet their goal. Backers can get their own digital copy of Archangel 2 for Windows, Mac or Linux for as little as $5. "The fact that the development team consists of only two members is helping us keep the prices low," said Israel-based game designer Dmitry Baklanov, who is responsible for the concept, the 3D rendering and the animation, among others. "But it is still a high-quality product that will appeal to gamers and sci-fi aficionados alike."

Baklanov and his partner, Greek programmer George Kazamias, are planning to launch Archangel 2 in July 2014. Just like its predecessor, which is expected to go into Android beta testing this month, the new title will be available for all mobile platforms, as well as for PC, Mac and Linux.

Archangel 2 will be developed in full 3D and will allow gamers to explore and interact more with the environment. The game's universe has also been expanded beyond the interior of a spaceship to include the surface of Mars as well. "NASA footage of the Cydonia region will be at the foundation of our 3D rendering of the Martian surface. While the main puzzle in the first game was a huge spaceship, in the sequel it will be the surface of the Red Planet, with its structures," Baklanov added.

The second installment in the series will also feature more characters that will be able to speak and interact with each other. The storyline will not be as linear as the first game either, and will give players the possibility of playing different game segments in different ways. The game will be set in an alternative, future world where Mars is already being colonized. Archangel 2 will be suitable for all ages, as this point & click space adventure game will not include any horror elements and will primarily consist of logic and memory training tasks.

All the funds raised through the Indiegogo campaign will be used to purchase additional software and 3D rendering equipment to further expand and improve the game. Backers will get various "perks" that include character figures, key holders and other physical gifts, besides their own copy of the game. Those who pledge $1,500 and upwards will also be given the opportunity to influence the game's development and storyline.

About Dmitry Baklanov
Dmitry Baklanov is the game's creator and is in charge of all aspects related to 3D design and animation. He is also responsible for the game's sound effects and music for the time being. George Kazamias is an experienced programmer whose main responsibility will be to create the final product and make it suitable for multiple gaming platforms.
Coffee, the Engine, Seeks Crowd Funding via Indiegogo for Next-Generation Game Engine Project

An artist friendly game development kit, Coffee, The Engine, offers independent and student developers Free or Pro Series license that uses C++ script for a customizable pipeline.

Malmo, Skane lan -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/25/2013 -- Coffee, the Engine, has launched a crowd funding campaign via Indiegogo for either support or sponsorship of its recently released Coffee 0.2 game engine. Independent, advanced, or beginning game developers alike will enjoy its ease of use with full capability to create video games, prototypes, visualization software, virtual reality, or window applications.

"I have worked hard over these ten years to develop a product fully based on ease of use and compatibility. I feel that the kit's features, which give creators full control of the engine, is the best SDK on the market thus far," says Alexandre Chambriat, creator of Coffee, the Engine.

Investors will have until Nov. 4 to select a "perk" contribution on the project page on Indiegogo. Depending on the chosen contribution, investors will receive anything project page from a free license of Coffee, to being an official sponsor on the Coffee's website, or an inclusive right to take part in the project as a sponsor.

Although there are many game engines out on the market, Coffee seeks to target those in the game making industry through the simplicity of its product.

"Coffee is more user friendly compared to other existing game engines. It has the best of both worlds, in my opinion, because of the simplicity of the editor, tools, and overall pipeline. The SDK is shipped with the whole source code (engine+tools), without heavy dependencies; it just requires an external C++ compiler. Having the whole source code is nice for beginning game developers and provides high debugging facilities for professionals. It provides full customization of the core, which is supported in Web deployment as well," says Chambriat.

Currently, Coffee is available in the Coffee Shop as a digital download. Available in a free or pro license, the kit comes with a managing desktop, user-friendly web deployment, and an editor with capabilities to create C++ components and plugins. The free license kit has all pre-built binaries for the regular, pro, and express IDE editions of Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010, and is for non-commercial use only.

The pro license offers the full source code and tool set with access to all patches and minor versions. It supports MinGW+Code::Blocks, and regular, professional and express editions of Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010, and 2012. Linux support will be added in the future. For now, Coffee only supports Windows, from XP to 7 desktops, and on the Web through a proprietary browser plugin.

Chambriat has been working as a senior software engineer in the gaming field for over seven years. He started the Coffee project over ten years ago. The development of Coffee is based on his professional experience, working with game engines and 3D Edition tools. For the user interface he tries to pick the best of what he's seen.

Investors will find that their donation will be put to good use, as this project is a life-long endeavor. Chambriat hopes to raise enough money to buy and build a new server, to release stable and periodic beta releases in the future, and to increase its user base to provide more product in the user store.

Native Instinct Seeks Crowd Funding via Indiegogo for New TV Show

New survival/adventure show appeals to investors to help the first series of Native Instinct come to production.

Malmo, Skane lan -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/24/2013 -- Native Instinct has launched a crowd funding campaign via Indiegogo in order to get their brand new survival/adventure show broadcast ready. The show will follow two wilderness instructors, Will Davies from Wales and Filipino Jing Lavilles De Eugurola, as they travel through the various islands of the Philippines dealing with numerous survival situations. The campaign aims to raise £2,000 by November 16, 2013, 11:59pm PT.

The reality TV show will aim to educate its viewers on survival techniques along with Filipino culture in an exciting and fun way. The money raised from the campaign will go towards producing the first 6 episode series of the survival show by helping with travel expenses and allowing growth in the production crew. So far, the first 4 episodes have been confirmed and will show adventures such as "Survive and Escape from a Desert Island" and "Native Fishing in Samar". For the final two episodes of the series, the team is in the process of discussions with the Baju (Sea Gypsy's) tribe as well as the mountains jungle tribe: Matigsalug (Lumad). Investors will be able to choose a "perk" for their contribution on the project page on Indiegogo, depending on the size of the donation with the possibility of a free DVD of the first series.

Davies and Eurugola will travel around the tropical islands of the Philippines where they will be plunged into different survival situations. At times, they will spend time with the indigenous people on the islands, who will teach them their ways. In order to give investors a clearer picture of what to expect from the show, the team at Native Instinct have described it as ""Dual Survivors" meets "Ray Mears" but more fun. They believe that the chemistry and bond between good friends Davies and Eugurola will give the show an edge against its popular competitors. Investors will be able get an idea of how the show will unravel from video of the test shoot--which was shot with a crew of just 2-- and can be found on both the campaign and Facebook pages.

Both cast members of the survival show possess considerable individual survival experience and run a Wilderness school together in Cebu, Philippines. Although the two have been good friends for years, they enjoy poking fun at each other both on and off camera. It's this playful banter that producer Matt Everett believes will set the show apart from other adventure survival shows which are out at the moment. Eurugola is also excited about another aspect of Native Instinct and writes about it in his blog "This made-for-TV show targeting an international audience is the first of its kind in the Philippines since it will utilize a Filipino as the lead cast as well as [the fact that] location shootings are all done here [in the Philippines]."

About Native Instinct
Native Instinct is the vision of producer Matt Everett, Will Davies and Jing Lavilles De Eugurola. Davies and Eugurola are both trained survival and wilderness instructors. Their aim is to teach valuable survival techniques while exploring the culture of the Philippines in one big adventure.

The point & click space exploration title will be in full 3D and is slated for a July 2014 release date on multiple gaming platforms.

Malmo, Skane lan -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/24/2013 -- The two-man team behind Archangel: Martian Orbit has launched a crowdfunding campaign for the second installment of their point & click space adventure series.
