New Divorce Laws to Be Introduced

Harrow, Middlesex -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/17/2015 -- Britain's most senior family law judge has called for a streamlining of the process by which couples get divorce. The plans entail a network of regional centres which could process divorce within the space of 24 hours. The intention behind the plans is that it could speed up the process which is currently adversarial and can involve a lot of paperwork, particularly where the division of assets is concerned. But many have called for a shorter process of divorce where children or significant assets are not involved and it is thought that the new moves could make the process a lot less stressful for many.

At present, uncontested divorces cost a small fee and also take up to 33 weeks to process. The new procedures could see the matter be dealt with swiftly in the space of days. The system will be put into place this month and has been criticized by sum for making divorce too easy. However, others are welcoming the changes as an efficient move to remove the administrative burden from the courts where it is not needed. Nevertheless, many are concerned about their position and are wondering whether the changes will affect them.

However, we also understand that people will have their concerns about whether this will affect them and if so, how it will. We would advise anyone who is considering getting a divorce to get professional legal advice as the changes are coming in very rapidly.
Report Reveals International Students Boost London Economy, Aston Brooke Responds

Harrow, Middlesex -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/15/2015 -- Leading UK legal team, Aston Brooke, have recently commented on the report which details the economic boost London has received thanks to international students.

The contribution detailed in the report titled 'London Calling: International Students' reveals that an average of £2.3 billion is added to London's capital economy each year, which is after £540 million has been taken out of account for public services. This figure is contrary to what's been suggested by Theresa May, who was considering a legislation to restrict net student immigration to zero.

This figure comes from having around 100,700 international students in London, with 70,000 jobs supported in the capital because of international students. Plus when it comes to the fear of immigrants staying long after they've finished their degrees, the report details that only 12.5 per cent stay.

More international students are also believed to do business with UK industries after graduation which helps the country as a whole, providing figures and information that goes against the negative stigma surrounding immigration.

Often commenting on industry news, a spokesperson for Aston Brooke said, 'The report is the news people need to hear, and it proves a case for immigration within the UK. Immigration adds a lot of money and good to the country, and it needs to be encouraged or highlighted, rather than shunned by the masses.

At Aston Brooke we can help with our immigration legal services, and if you're in need of legal advice when looking to move into the UK, we're here to help. All it takes is a single phone call or email to begin the process!'

Research Shows Immigrants Aren't Taking Your Job or Driving Down Wages – Aston Brooke Solicitors Comments

Harrow, Middlesex -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/26/2015 -- Aston Brooke Solicitors, a team of legal experts who are based in North London and provide a number of immigration law services to clients in and outside the UK, has commented on fresh research which suggests wages haven't fallen and unemployment hasn't risen as a consequence of immigration.

According to research undertaken by the London School of Economics (LSE), immigration has no negative effect on unemployment numbers of wages.

Researchers for the university looked for correlation between immigration share trends and unemployment rates for UK workers in British counties but were unable to find any links. They concluded that there was no notable difference in rises between counties with minimal immigration and counties with a substantial number of immigrants.

The LSE team then looked at the data for new jobs but again found that immigration share was little different to immigration share vs working age population. When they looked at lower-skilled workers, they were still unable to prove correlation.

The authors behind the study explained: "On balance, the evidence on the UK labor market suggests that fears about adverse consequences of rising immigration regularly seen in opinion polls have not, on average, materialized. It is hard to find evidence of much displacement of UK workers or lower wages. Immigrants, especially in recent years, tend to be younger and better educated than the UK-born and less likely to be unemployed.

"Perceptions do not seem to line up with the existing evidence and it is perhaps here that we need to understand more."

Solicitors Aston Brooke often comment on news that is relevant to the services they offer. They believe that more highly educated younger immigrants and highly skilled workers coming into the UK has potentially had a positive effect.

A representative for Aston Brooke said: "Immigration is naturally a hot topic but few would disagree that when it comes to people arriving here who are highly skilled entering the UK, it can have a very beneficial impact on the economy, helping us to take the best and brightest from elsewhere and contribute to making our industries stronger and more internationally competitive. We work with a number of businesses, providing commercial immigration services, and have seen first-hand just how important some immigrants are to business and the economy as a whole."
