A significant majority expressed that they were worried about health issues such as back and neck injury caused by prolonged periods of time at a desk.

The survey, which highlights the fear, and actual risk, of injury in the workplace goes on to indicate that people age 45+ are most at risk of work-related stresses and strains, suggesting, therefore, that many older adults in established job roles are struggling with work-related injury.

Doncaster, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/09/2015 -- Statistics released by The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) showed that of 629,000 accident cases, 203,000 led to people needing at least 3 days' off work and 148,000 led to over 7 days absence from work.

Manual handling was responsible for a large portion of major accidents that resulted in over 7 day's absence from work.
