New Lets Being Agreed Before Tenants Move Out

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/21/2015 -- Properties are now being rented out to new tenants before existing occupants have even moved out according to new figures released by a prominent property news service. So far in 2015, 33% of new lets were agreed while occupants were still in the property – a figure which is already up from 27% last year. With the property market booming and places to stay becoming increasingly scarce and competitive amongst prospective tenants, the average period it takes for a landlord to let a property is 32 days, which is the shortest period on record. These statistics are even higher in London where 51% of new lets are agreed whilst there is a sitting tenant in the property.

This has implications on current tenants as it means that they won't have the leeway which was traditionally assured when they moved out of a property. This makes organisation when it comes to removals, packaging and storage even more crucial. The traditional laissez-faire and informal approach to moving house can no longer be depended upon. This means that both new and old tenants alike will have to invest in a reliable service which can assure them of a smooth transition.

About Safe Removals
Safe Removals are a leading removals, packaging and storage company with an established reputation in the industry and a history of successful experience. As regular commentators on industry news, a spokesperson had this to say, 'We think that this is quite an important fact which has emerged in the report. Whether we think this is good or bad for people or the property market, the fact remains that tenants need to remain protected and safe in their own position first and foremost. We've been around for a long time and have seen a lot of changes in the property market and the way that things change in terms of removals preferences. And it is definitely crucial to have the right removals company in this day and age. No one wants to feel stranded in between two properties, especially now that there isn't even a gap between one tenant moving in and another moving out. This is why it pays to be prepared, and this is the advice that we would give to every individual who is thinking of moving home. We pride ourselves on our efficiency and reliability and have a legion of loyal customers to attest to this.'

House Building Company, Telford Homes, Sees Full Year Profit Jump, Safe Removals Comments

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/18/2015 -- Leading London Removals Company, Safe Removals, have recently commented on the news that housing company, Telford Homes, has had a full year profit increase to 31%.

The 31 per cent jump is due to the shortage of housing in the London capital, and Telford has been helping with this problem, which has helped with the profit boost.

Pre-tax, the profit posted for 2015 up to March was 25.1 million, which was an increase from 19.2 million the year before, and above any market expectations. This is thanks to the high demand, and in 2014 661 properties were built to help with the housing shortage in the London area.

The 661 houses is an increase from the 515 in 2014, and the figures continue to increase as the demand stays strong.

Often commenting on industry news, a spokesperson for Safe Removals said, 'This news means more housing is due to be built in the London area, and this means more places for people to move to! And when you need to move, Safe Removals is here to help! Our services involve home removals, packing, and storage, and our team is professional and skilled, making the moving day a stress free one.

Housing is currently an issue within the London area, but companies such as Telford Homes are going to change that, with more places to move into than ever before!'

UK House Prices Prevent over 1 Million Buying Housing, Safe Removals Responds

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/20/2015 -- Leading London removals company, Safe Removals, recently commented on the reports which have revealed that over one million people in the country are avoiding buying housing, due to the high costs.

New figures from Priced Out determine that over 1.2 million currently don't own their own homes since the coalition formed in 2010, due to the rise in house prices by 17% and wage growth has been low. Since the coalition, 69% can no longer afford to buy, in comparison to 54% before the coalition.

Instead people have opted to rent instead, as 3.8 million are living in private rented housing, which is an increase from 2.5 million. Despite a home ownership scheme launching in 2013, the uptake in people buying housing hasn't seen a significant increase.

The director of Priced Out, Duncan Stott, said, 'Throwing money at buyers with initiatives like Help To Buy is dangerously counterproductive. If the next government is serious about reviving home ownership, its top priority must be to set about building enough homes to end price inflation, otherwise more and more people will become stuck in a lifetime of renting.'

The problem with the Help To Buy scheme however, is that while one may receive help with the service, others will struggle with the rice in house prices. It a system which needs to either be scrapped or tweaked to benefit all.

Often commenting on industry news, a spokesperson for Safe Removals said, 'In 2015, while buying is down, renting is at an all-time high, and more people are moving than ever before. It's unfortunate that owning a house is so inaccessible for many, but it isn't the end for moving out, and at Safe Removals we offer competitively priced removal services in the Thames area, making it cheaper and easier than ever to move!

Renting means you don't have to be stuck in one place, and renting removes any need to commit to a place you don't particularly want to stay at. It's worth looking at the benefits available through the living options available for those who can't afford to outright buy a house.'

The Number of University Students Living in Privately Owned Halls Has More Than Doubled in the Last Seven Years – Safe Removals Comment

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/24/2015 -- According to a recent study by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), the numbers of second and third year undergraduates who are shirking the more conventional house shares has more than doubled from 46,000 in 2007 to 102,000 in 2014.

These halls of private accommodation are equip with built in WiFi, big screen TVs, onsite gyms, reading rooms and private cinemas. Most of these halls also have 24 hour security measure in place, which will make a difference too, as much second and third year accommodation which is notorious for being broken into.

The halls were originally created when university provided first year accommodation was becoming overfilled; however, Heriberto Cuanalo, director of upmarket student halls providers Collegiate AC, has revealed that on the number of students in their halls being second and third year students in 2015-2016 has seen a 40% increase from 2014-2015.

Cuanalo commented on the increase: "There has definitely been a significant change within the student accommodation landscape, with privately owned halls becoming one of the more sought after options available… Our combination of comfortable and contemporary apartments and a secure and relaxing environment is what makes us a top choice amongst university students."

A spokesperson from Safe Removals, a home removals service in London, have also made comment on the changes: "With increasing stories of break-ins and absentee landlords for second and third year students in impoverished residents it is unsurprising that this year's students are becoming more picky about their choices.

"Where you live has a great impact on the way you study, as it needs to be a safe, relaxing environment for students to be able to study effectively in. As a removals company we are aware of the importance a home can have to a person, even if this home is temporary. Our friendly staff take pride in their ability to safely and efficiently help people to move properties, and take the stress out of moving day for people."
