Good News for Entrepreneurs: Global Immigration Solutions Comments

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/23/2015 -- The recent changes in immigration law have been deemed controversial for non-EU immigrants, particularly those applying for Tier 2 visas. However, there is good news for those who wish to move to the UK under the Tier 1 visa which is reserved for entrepreneurs. In fact, a recent report suggests that the Tier 1 visa is growing in appeal and is attractive to self-starting non-EU migrants who may wish to set up their own business in the UK. Entrepreneurs make up a substantial proportion of the economy in the UK, creating further jobs and opportunities, so the implications of the news could be far-reaching for everyone.

The Tier 1 entrepreneur visa is a crucial opportunity for those wishing to set up their own businesses in the UK, and there have been changes to the law prospective migrants from non-EU areas must be aware of in their application. This includes changes to what will be accepted as 'funding' as financial input from venture capitalists will no longer be considered unless it is from a source approved by the Government. These changes mean that although, there are some hurdles, the time has never been better for entrepreneurs to make that move overseas if they wish to.

About Global Immigration Solutions
Global Immigration Solutions are a team of leading immigration experts who specialise in assisting people to move to the UK. As regular commentators on industry news, a spokesperson had this to say, 'We think it is good news that the Tier 1 visa is being utilised more and is growing in appeal. Obviously, some may be unfamiliar with what the new changes mean for their prospects. But we would advise people to take a crucial first step and seek support, as the right legal advice can make the whole transition so much easier. Entrepreneurs are crucial to the growth of the economy, creating jobs and opportunities for everyone and with the right guidance they can fulfil their aspirations too.'

Immigrants to Earn over £35,000 to Settle in UK, from 2016

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/17/2015 -- Changes to the Immigration Rules made several years ago will come into effect from 2016, when Tier 2 migrants applying for settlement at the end of five years will need to be earning a minimum of £35,000 per year. This is expected to affect the NHS as many of its nurses are from outside the EU, according to the Royal College of Nursing. Nurses are paid considerably less than £35,000 which is why many are concerned at the changes and other lower-earning workers will also see their possibility of arrival restricted. Therefore, it is essential that those who may be affected by the changes seek the appropriate legal support.

The implication of these changes is that there may be a rapid reduction in the number of workers we have seen hitherto in the UK.

About Global Immigration Solutions
Global Immigration Solutions are leading immigration specialists with a team of exceptional and experienced lawyers. Being established for a number of years they have endured the vicissitudes of persistent changes in immigration law that accompany changes in government. Being regular commentators on legal news in this field, a spokesperson had this to say, 'We are concerned by these changes, though we want to urge people that there is support available. We must focus on what we can work with right now. This is the most important thing now for people who are non-EU workers seeking to relocate or work in the UK. We specialise in assisting graduate entrepreneurs, businessmen and other skilled workers in relocating, and members of our approachable team are always on hand to answer any questions people have. We also help those in other job roles, and therefore whatever your position, we urge you to contact us. If you are a non-EU worker who is a Tier 2 applicant and are concerned about your position, we invite you to discuss your options. We've seen a lot of changes in our time, and we know that the main thing that will ensure you are protected and prepared is the right information and knowledge.'

Investor VISA Applications Increase: Global Immigration Solutions Reflects

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/25/2015 -- Recent figures published in The Times regarding immigration and Visas have indicated that the number of wealthy investors, especially from East Asia, attempting to move to Britain, tripled last year. It is recorded that more than 1,500 had sought to relocate in the UK – a surge in applications prior to a change in legislation which required a higher amount for entry by investment.

This figure highlights the potentially increased interest in Britain as a place to invest, but also, the importance of keeping aware of changes in immigration law and what is involved in certain visas. The type of visa ultimately depends on the purposes and circumstances of an individual entering the UK. The changes to the amount of money required for investment visas, for example, mean that people looking to move and contribute to the UK may need to consider their options for entry.

About Global Immigration Solutions
Global Immigration Solutions are a team of experienced lawyers based in London, specialising in immigration and nationality law. They were quick to comment on the sudden increase of investment applications before the change in the rules.

"People enter the UK from abroad for many reasons," a spokesperson told us, "and what is ultimately essential, whether you are coming to the UK to work or to invest, or for some other reason, is that you consider all the appropriate Visas and documentation which correspond to your case for entry. Recent political upheaval as well as changes in the system, mean that it is all the more important that if you are thinking of locating to the UK from overseas, you seek the advice of a legal professional. At Global immigration Solutions, we like to think we extend the most up-to-date advice to people as possible and hope that others are following suit."

Academics and Immigration: Global Immigration Solutions Comments

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/25/2015 -- According to a recent report released by City AM, approximately one in ten UK academics originate from outside the EU. This means that a significant proportion of the academic community is comprised of immigrants – bringing a wealth and breadth of knowledge to institutions and important industries. It is thought that this is considerably fueled by students traveling to the UK to study also.

In turn, immigrants could be seen as integral both to developing pioneering research and study in universities, as well as educating the next generation in skilled professions. A particularly profound area is science, with lecturers coming from overseas and bringing alternate techniques and perspectives, which can allow for significant gain. This could be seen as contributing to scientific progress and offering opportunity for further economic growth.

About Global Immigration Solutions
Global Immigration Solutions are a key group of immigration and nationality law specialists, working to help people understand and participate in the legal process. They are also frequent commentators on related news and were quick to reflect on the recent figures.

In order to continue in this positivity, what is essential is, whether you are coming to the UK to work or study, that you have all the appropriate documentation in place.
More Than a Third of New Jobs Go to Foreign Workers: Global Immigration Solutions Comments

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/18/2015 -- Recent figures from a BBC report highlight that whilst unemployment has hit a seven year low, last year, more than a a third of new jobs created went to workers from abroad. This has led a number of business leaders and experts to praise the contribution that overseas labour makes to economic growth and how it can be constructive.

Especially constructive are the skilled roles often filled by immigrant workers – especially in the health services. Every year, a number of foreign workers fill roles including nurses, doctors and surgeons; bringing a wide range of experience and practice to the field. The applications to work in the UK involving skilled workers is a Tier 2 application – appropriate for skilled workers to work for UK businesses licensed by the home office. As a number of new skilled jobs that have been in the healthcare services especially at a community level, this could be seen as a key area where new jobs are being successfully filled by immigrants.

About Global Immigration Solutions
Global Immigration Solutions are leading specialists in immigration law as well as frequent commentators regarding recent news. They were quick to comment in light of the released results.

Global Immigration Solutions Comment on the Changes Made to Immigration Appeal Rights

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/05/2015 -- From April 6th 2015 the final phase of the changes made to the immigration appeals system under the Immigration Act 2014 has been put into place.

Changes to appeal rights were implemented on a staggered basis; starting from October 20th 2014, Tier 4 appeals changed followed by changes to Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 5 from March 2nd2015. Finally on April 6th almost all appeal rights were limited to just three grounds.

From April 6th, the only right of appeal that exists is where the Home Office has – i) Refused a human rights claim ii) Refused a protection claim iii) Revoked refugee or humanitarian protection leave. Applications under EEA law continue to have a full right of appeal.

It is increasingly essential that people are aware of the definitions and whether these are appropriate to their situation.

Global Immigration Solutions recognize the need to keep people informed regarding the changes, and are frequent commentators in the field. "What is especially important,"a spokesperson said, "Is that people know what constitutes a protection claim and what constitutes a human rights claim.

A protection claim is a claim that if the person applying was removed from the United Kingdom, it would be a breach of the UK's obligations under the Refugee Convention or its obligations under Article 3 of the ECHR, the European Convention on Human Rights.

A human rights claim is that to be refused entry into the UK, or permission to remain in the UK, would be unlawful under section 6 of the Humans Rights Act 1998. What is ultimately essential is that people are in touch with an immigration specialist lawyer who can advise them on their rights and their options, and this is what we strive to do."
