The Rise of Composite Wood and Decking Continues

Wigston, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/17/2015 -- Composite wood material has become the word of the present. With everyone concerned about making environmentally friendly choices, many are also concerned with the sheer number of trees that are cut down to make items for the consumer. This is why composite wood has seen an exponential rise in its popularity. A recent industry report suggests that the composite wood market is booming. Not only because it is ethical but also because it is efficient, affordable and durable, lasting far longer and being easier to maintain than normal wood which is susceptible to things like dry rot and insect infestations. And recent market figures suggest that the composite wood market is booming, and that the rise of composite wood decking is the cause of this rise!

Summer is here and with this time of year being ideal for many to make over their gardens or to renovate and replenish their outdoor spaces, many will want to landscape their garden to be low maintenance. And the rise of decking means that many will turn to this for their solution.

Composite Recycling Technology Centre Receives Further Funding, Fiberon Comments

Wigston, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/15/2015 -- Leading UK supplier of Fiberon composite decking, SEAC LTD, have recently commented on the news that the Port of Port Angeles Composite Recycling Technology Centre has received $712,000 from the state.

The funding has been put in place to help secure federal funding with the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA), along with $1.28 million from the Port to match funds. The combined amount allows for the building of the recycling centre along with Peninsula College's Advanced Manufacturing Technology training program.

The reprocessing centre will convert composite waste streams into new projects, helping create jobs in the area and help reduce the negative environment impact traditional wood cutting has. This carries over into the Peninsula College, which has had students creating Ibeams with the composite materials. The aim of the new buildings is to help create, help students learn, and help the environment, and these three aspects have helped with receiving the required funding.

The Port's director, Jennifer States, said, 'The recycling centre offers a unique opportunity for community. The CRTC project is already starting to establish Clallam County's as a global leader in carbon fiber composite recycling. Once we cut the ribbon on this state of the art facility, that leadership role will continue to grow.

Often commenting on industry news, a spokesperson for SEAC LTD said, 'Composite is increasingly becoming the desired material for decking, and the need for it will only continue to increase due to the more environmentally friendly nature of the product.

And its great news to see composite recycling technology centres such as this one receiving further funding, to allow for a larger output at a higher quality. The training program will also benefit the area, providing jobs and the creations in the labs could help provide innovate new ways to use composite materials.

At SEAC LTD we sell only the finest in Fiberon composite decking, and our range means there is a type of composite decking out there for everyone! It's slip proof, long lasting, and looks great, making it ideal for the elderly, families, and those who just want their decking to look good.'
