MOYA Brand has donated the proceeds from the sale of their branded Gi to the Mauli Ola Foundation to provide drop in visits, surf experience days and more to the terminally ill.

Whittier, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/02/2015 -- The Mauli Ola Foundation (MOF) is doing important work in getting cystic fibrosis patients out of the hospital and into the ocean, to experience the healing power of surfing. The charity began its outreach work years ago, and has now helped more than 1,300 patients escape their limitations. They recently reached out to the MOYA Brand, creators of the world's most rugged Jiu Jitsu Gi, and the brand helped to raise funds for the charity by donating all the proceeds of a limited edition kimono to the charity.

The MOF x MOYA Brand Gi was created specifically to raise money for the Foundation. The money has helped the surf experience charity to give back to the community, helping terminally ill children and adults while also holding drop in visits to continue building the relationship between the surfers and the patients.

MOYA Brand championed the cause for personal reasons, as five year old Meme and ardent fan of the brand succumbed to illness and died tragically before his time. This led MOYA Brand to create the limited edition kimono in support of children suffering from terminal illness.
