Formed in 2000, the band was created to explore and express ideas of existentialism. The songs of Go Supernove! are inspired by reflection upon friendships and relationships at a personal and cultural level. Black Birds of Paradise began as a trio, and has increased its numbers to a quintet since its birth four years ago. Terror Bird Recipe

Ingredients: 2 guitars, 1 drum set, 1 vibraphone, 1 bass
Optional: 1 synthesizer, 1 bag o' percussion, 1 fender rhodes, 1 organ, 1 BBOP choir

Begin by melting John Lewis vocals over high heat in a pan. Next, stir in Katy Hartman guitar melodies, one at a time. Once you can clearly see the creative juices flowing, throw in some John guitar for spice. Set pan aside. In a separate bowl, blend the thunderous and powerful drum rhythms of Nicholas Layman with the inspired and earthy bass growls of Dashiell Moss. Let sit for 10 minutes until doubled in power. Whisk in the resonant vibraphone tones of Regan Layman vigorously until light and frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, making sure there are no lumps. Sprinkle with synthesizer, organ, percussion, and BBOP choir to taste. Please enjoy!

Gubbey Records, a Louisville, Kentucky based record company, is set to accept music submissions for it’s annual cassette compilation “Head Cleaner- A Louisville Music Compilation”. The company is an independent record company that releases music from all genres.

Louisville, KY -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/03/2015 -- Gubbey Records is now taking music submissions for the annual cassette compilation, "Head Cleaner- A Louisville Music Compilation". Last year's edition featured 106 diverse Louisville music acts on three cassettes and an additional download volume with a playing time that boasted over 6 1/2 hours. We want to meet or exceed that turnout for the 2015 edition. Louisville bands/musical acts please send your music, all it takes is a song and the song info. "The purpose of this compilation is to document and take a yearly snapshot of the Louisville music community as a whole. This compilation is open to ALL styles of music from the Louisville, Kentucky area" says label representative Dave Rucinski. The deadline for submitting a tune is September 1st.

What we need from you:

1. A Song- We are asking for Louisville Bands/Music Acts to submit your song in WAV format. MP3's typically are low quality and compressed, so please send in WAV format if possible. If you must submit in another format we can oblige. Keep songs in the 1- 4 ½ minute range if possible; if your song is longer please just let us know in advance. Use a free service like Dropbox or Sendspace to upload and send the track to us. WAV files are usually too large to send in a regular email. Go to http://www.dropbox.com or http://www.sendspace.com to upload and send us the link to download the file to GubbeyRecords@gmail.com. Any questions on this just let us know. We are asking that you have your song to us on or before September 1st, if you think that there will be any issues getting your song in by the deadline, just let us know and we will see what we can do about extending.

2. Your Band/Act Recording Info- We need the following info for the credits: Song title and a listing of everyone who played on the recording, what instruments they played. Also we need the recording information: Where and when the song was recorded and by whom. Also include a contact email/website for the band. Please make sure to send this info with your music submission, it is vital for us to properly credit all of the tracks.
