Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team won their second game in a row on November 8 against rival team, the Wichita Thunder.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/11/2015 -- The Missouri Mavericks, owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., won the November 8 game against their rival team the Wichita Thunder. The win came immediately after a November 7 win against the Thunder which featured a 1-0 shutout bu the Mavericks thanks to goalie Parker Milner.

Milner was able to lead the Missouri Mavericks to victory in both games this week, allowing one goal scored by the Wichita Thunder in the combined 120 minutes of regulation play. The Mavericks lead the November 8 game with two points before the Thunder were able to score against Milner in the second period.

The November 8 victory gave the Mavericks a total of 8 points in the 2015-16 ECHL season. The Mavericks continue to lead the Independence Cup Series with the most points collected so far against the Thunder.

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team won their most recent home game at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena against their local rival the Wichita Thunder.

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team defeated the Quad City Mallards 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday November 4.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/05/2015 -- The Missouri Mavericks, owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., won their Wednesday night game against the Quad City Mallards. The November 4 game was held in Moline, IL the home ice of the Quad City Mallards. The Mavericks away win came after two back to back away game losses at the end of the first month of the 2015-16 ECHL season.

Jesse Root, leading goal scorer for the Mavericks, scored two goals in the game including the game winning overtime goal. Goalie Josh Robinson managed to save 27 shots on goal while defending the Mavericks net during 60 minutes of regulation play and 37 seconds of overtime hockey. Robinson had been announced as the ECHL "Goaltender of the Month" earlier the same day.

The Mallards scored the first point of the November 4 game but did not hold onto their lead for long throughout the remainder of regulation play. The third period of the game saw a Mavericks lead taken away by Mallards players Jake Baker who managed to score against Robinson to tie up the game 3-3 and take the teams into overtime. The Mavericks kept Robinson in the net for overtime and won with a goal scored against the Mallards less than one minute into post-regulation play.

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team the Missouri Mavericks lost to the Allen Americans in the last away game of October.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/02/2015 -- Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks have lost a second consecutive away game. The Mavericks lost 2-1 on October 31st in an away game played against the Allen Americans. On October 30th the Mavericks lost in overtime to the Tulsa Oilers, the loss to the Allen Americans was their first regulation loss of the season since they began playing in Anchorage.

The Allen Americans scored two goals against the Missouri Mavericks before the Mavericks could get any points on the board. The Mavericks answered the Americans with one goal late in the third period of the game and could not tie the game before the end of the final period. Tyler Barnes scored the only goal for the Mavericks during regulation with an empty net, assisted by Mavericks players Jesse Root and Rocco Carzo. Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/02/2015 -- Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team, the Missouri Mavericks, lost to the Tulsa Oilers on October 30 at an away game in Tulsa, OK. The Mavericks had won five consecutive games prior to the October 30 loss at the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK. The loss came to the Mavericks in the shootout after a full 60 minutes of regulation play and five minutes of overtime.

The game was led by the Oilers with two goals scored against the Mavericks early in the first period of regulation play. The Mavericks came back to tie up the game 2-2 followed by both teams scoring one additional goal apiece to tie up the game by the end of regulation play in the third period.

The Tulsa Oilers were led to victory by the sudden death shootout goal from Brandon Wong which defeated the Mavericks goalie Josh Robinson.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/30/2015 -- The Missouri Mavericks, owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., won their fifth game in a row on Tuesday October 27th playing against the Quad City Mallards at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, MO. The Mavericks defeated the Mallards 5-2, the highest scoring game for the Mavericks so far in their 2015-16 season.

The Mallards and Mavericks went scoreless throughout the first period of their game with many goal attempts from both teams. During the second period the Mavericks scored three goals before the Mallards scored one goal thanks to Tanner Eberle, Mike Monfredo and Zach Pochiro. The Mavericks went on to score two additional goals and the Mallards added one more goal in the third period. Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team the Missouri Mavericks won their October 24th home opener game of the 2015-16 season 2-1 against the Wichita Thunder.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/29/2015 -- The Missouri Mavericks, owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., won their first home game of the 2015-16 season on October 24. The Mavericks won 2-1 playing against their local rival the Wichita Thunder at their newly named home ice the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.

Josh Robinson was goalie for the Mavericks for the home opener which resulted in the fourth win for the Mavericks this season. He allowed one goal throughout the entire game with Wichita Thunder defenseman Dalton Reum scoring the only goal against the Mavericks in the first period.

Multiple penalties drawn by the Wichita Thunder allowed the Missouri Mavericks to score two power play goals with the Andrew Courtney, Rocco Carzo, and Trevor Ludwig power play line-up. The game saw 18 shots on goal by the Wichita Thunder and 27 by the Missouri Mavericks, allowing the mavericks to score the extra goals to lead them to victory.

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team won 3-0 in shutout against local rival team the Wichita Thunder on October 23.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/29/2015 -- The Missouri Mavericks, owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., won the October 23 game 3-0 against local rival the Wichita Thunder. The game was held in Wichita, KS at the Intrust Bank Arena and began the regular rivalry between the Mavericks and the Thunder.

The first two periods of the matchup went without any goals scored by the Mavericks or the Thunder. After the forty minute goal drought Tyler Barnes of the Mavericks scored quickly within the first minute of the third period. Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/23/2015 -- Ozanam, an organization that has been helping at-risk youth and young adults for more than 50 years, receives help from Lamar Hunt Jr. and the Loretto Foundation. The help received from the foundation assists the organization in keeping their residential treatment and other services active.

The services offered by Ozanam currently include campus-based services, educational services, and community-based services. These services cover residential treatment with therapy for children 12 to 18, short-term family residential programs with aftercare, and educational day therapy programs for students of the on-campus Ozanam School.

In addition to the on-campus and education services provided by Ozanam year round, the organization also trains teachers and administrators through the Behavior Intervention Support Team. Mentoring services are available for bringing appropriate adult role models into the lives of at-risk foster care children.

Trevor Ludwig will play for the Mavericks as their new captain, Andrew Courtney and Kane Lafranchise will play as alternative captains.

Trevor Ludwig was recently added to the Missouri Mavericks in a trade from the Allen Americans ECHL team earlier this October. Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks of the ECHL recently announced that goalie Parker Milner will be going to play for the AHL team the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/20/2015 -- The Missouri Mavericks, owned by Lamar Hunt Jr., announced on October 17 that goalie Parker Milner has been called-up by the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The ECHL to AHL transaction came after Milner played in the season opener for the Mavericks in Anchorage, AK against the Alaska Aces. Milner was on loan from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

The Milner transaction is the first player call-up for the Missouri Mavericks in the new 2015-16 season. The Pittsburgh, PA native recently turned 25 and has previously played for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the 2013-14 season. Milner has experience with other ECHL and AHL teams including the Stockton Thunder (ECHL), the Quad City Mallards (ECHL), and the Iowa Wild (AHL).

Missouri Mavericks goalie Josh Robinson will replace Parker Milner as the only other goalie on the teams official roster. Robinson is one year older than Milner and has years of experience playing for the AHL and ECHL leagues. He played with the Mavericks last year in the 2014-15 season and has already had on-ice time this season.

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s ECHL team the Missouri Mavericks lost in 1-3 their third game against the Alaska Aces.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/19/2015 -- Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks played their third game against the Alaska Aces on October 16th at Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, AK and lost 1-3. The season opening game was held after two exhibition games against the Aces, the Mavericks won the first game of that series and lost the second.

The single goal scored by the Missouri Mavericks in the October 16th game was scored by player Jesse Root with assists from Tyler Barnes and new team captain Trevor Ludwig. The Mavericks scored a second goal which was reviewed and determined to not be a valid goal. Parker Milner, the Mavericks goalie for the night, allowed three goals from the Aces and the game ended 1-3 Aces win.

Two more away games will be played by the Missouri Mavericks against the Alaska Aces while they continue their two week long road trip in Alaska. The Mavericks again face the Aces on Saturday October 17th at 10:15 PM and Sunday October 18th at 6:05 PM.

The first home game of the 2015-16 season will be held against the Wichita Thunder on Saturday October 24th at the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, the newly named home ice of the Mavericks.

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks have announced that all away games in their upcoming 2015-16 ECHL season will be aired at two local establishments. The Blue Line and Rock & Brews will host the away game watch parties.

Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks recently lost the second game of their 2015-16 ECHL season in Anchorage, AK against the Alaska Aces.

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/16/2015 -- Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Missouri Mavericks were defeated in the second game of the 2015-16 season as they played a second game against the Alaska Aces in Anchorage, AK. The games was the second of two back to back exhibition games held at the Sullivan Arena, the home ice of the Aces.

The Mavericks scored in the first period thanks to defenseman Trevor Ludwig who was also on the starting lineup for the game. The starting line up also included: Colin Markison, David de Kastrozza, Josh Holmstrom, and C. J. Ludwig. Goalie Josh Robinson allowed no goals from the Aces during his time on the ice in the first period of the game.

More than 1,400 fans were in attendance for the Mavericks second game of the season.
