Even as construction on the clinic's newest phase is finishing, some dental services are already being provided to veterans.

Dr. McElroy plays a hands-on role in charity work, organizing trips abroad to perform free dental surgery, donating to the Wounded Warrior Project, and sponsoring local sports teams. In addition, he participates annually in Dentistry From The Heart, providing free dental services to anyone in the community one day a year.

The clinic will be able to provide free dental services to residents of VVSD and other San Diego County veterans in need.
