Carl Freer Patents New 3-D User Input Device for Virtual Computing Environment

Carl Freer’s invention of the three-dimensional input device is illustrated by placing the device on the end of a human finger, positioned in a way to allow the sensors to communicate with a controller and a wireless keyboard.

Los Angeles, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 05/12/2016 -- Inventor and Philanthropist Carl Freer recently announced his new patent for a three-dimensional input device designed for the virtual computing space. Freer's invention of the three-dimensional input device is illustrated by placing the device on the end of a human finger, positioned in a way to allow the sensors to communicate with a controller and a wireless keyboard. The device itself includes housing, a minimum of two sensors, a controller, a communications interface, and a power source.

As technology has shifted and branched out in various directions over the years, the need and demand for a three-dimensional user input device to be used in the virtual computer environment has dramatically increased. The device is constructed of plastic materials, and its overall size and shape is relatively small so that it is easy to transport and isn't a distraction.

The user input device is also relatively inexpensive and even has the capabilities to work as a universal input for a mobile phone, desktop computer, laptop, tablet and even Google Glass.

Mr. Freer claims, "Computing environments are ubiquitous; they come in both large and small sizes (e.g. smart phones). Notwithstanding the difference in size, all computing environments share many attributes including the need for an input device. Nowadays, the input device is most often a keyboard and a mouse or audio recognition.

Over the last few years, virtual computing has shifted away from two-dimensional tube displays into the three-dimensional virtual space. As a result, there has been a need for a user input device that can be used to input data into this three-dimensional world."

Carl Freer Launches FamilyTreeFoundation.com to Help Charities Reach Donors via Social Crowdsourcing

By using social media as a driving force to spread the word alongside a robust press and content outreach campaign – Carl Freer is working to help close the gap between the charities and the monetary resources that they need.

Los Angeles, CA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 12/09/2015 -- Carl Freer is pleased to announce the official launch of The Family Tree Foundation (http://carlfreer.com/about), a crowdsourcing website that will help connect charities to donors using the popular social media methods that have helped other crowdsourcing websites become viral in recent days.

The goal of Family Tree Foundation is to help charities better connect with a growing network of international donors. By using social media as a driving force to spread the word alongside a robust press and content outreach campaign – Freer is working to help close the gap between the charities and the monetary resources that they need.

In modern times, charities have to spend as much as half the money they take in just to sustain their operations. This is seen in form of spending on marketing materials, mailers, web, print and TV ads, social campaigns, telethons, cold calling and more. With a better way to connect charities directly to the monetary resources they need, the donors, more of these funds can be used to help aid the world.

Family Tree Foundation will help raise money for these charities by using the appeal of social media and crowdsourcing in combination with a way for donors to pay for the supplies, resources, and goods that charities need to perform their work.

Much like how popular sites like GoFundMe work, donors will be able to simply log on to Family Tree Foundation and pledge funds to help charitable efforts and causes around the world. They can also help by pledging to purchase the necessary resources and see how their contribution is making an impact and a difference in real-time.

A serial entrepreneur, Carl Freer cut his teeth by helping Tiger Telematics, Inc. grow into a multibillion dollar corporation. Since that time, he's worked with developing augmented realty gaming systems and by providing consulting services. Freer is also a notable contributor to the zoological society, Norden's Ark, and is also the chairman of the Family Tree Foundation.
